What is not correct? The 1974/85 Annual Counsel Sessions decided that women can serve and be ordained as elders and the 1990/95 General Conference Sessions said that women pastors cannot be ordained. The decision only dealt with ordaining women pastors not women elders. So present church policy is that women can serve and be ordained as elders and women can serve as pastors but they cannot be ordained. They are commissioned instead. Is it clear now?
This is not correct please see the reference below. The GC basically stated that each local church can make its choice. This issue is a personal one which each local church is asked to make its choice. Besides the GC said “commissioned" not "ordained." so the GC is not saying that ordination of women is biblical.

At its 1990 and 1995 General Conference sessions, delegates considered the issue of ordaining women, but declined to do so on both occasions…
Hey PastorP, I am assuming you a Pastor of the SDA Church. Women Pastors is an easy subject to understand. I see no evidence from the scriptures for this "doctrine” And I love the SDA Church and I know she is not Babylon, but I will not follow any doctrine blindly without is a straight and clear! "Thus says the Lord" I think this is an erroneous theory that God has brought in to show us what should be.
Read this Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5 p. 707;)
In his sermon pastor Doug read, "The angels had cautioned Eve to beware of separating herself from her husband while occupied in their daily labor in the garden. With him she would be in less danger from temptation than if she were alone. But absorbed in her pleasing task she unconsciously wandered from his side. Sin came into our world as a result of man neglecting and women disregarding the husband’s leadership role." I can't find the last sentence of that quote anywhere. Any help?
I thought that 3 Angels Tube's policy was to not post videos that went against the official policies/beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Has that policy changed?
People can vote this question down all they want but it would be nice if someone answered the question!:( I guess the tough questions are just that, tough to answer. Anyone willing to take on the tough questions? Or is it easier to just cop out and be silent?
In the video description it asks, "Is it ok to have women elders or pastors in the Seventh-day Adventist Church?" The answer is yes. Official church policy states that women can serve as pastors & elders with the only exception being that women pastors cannot be "ordained." (As decided by the 1975/84 Annual Counsel Sessions & 1990/95 General Conference Sessions). As a result women pastors are “commissioned" instead. Those are our official church policies/beliefs and we should abide by them.
This is a typical example of how the Americans are transferring their problems to the world church. What's next? Teaching evolution at Adventist schools? Preaching that there is no Pope's mitre with the words Vicarius Filii Dei? Pentecostal style worship services? Affiliating the SDA church to larger Protestant bodies in order to be more effective in our "social work"? Turning the church into a socal club where people meet to hear a 20 minute diluted sermon? No, thank you!
Before there was a Bible, there was the created human mind. I take my mind and conscience of higher value than I do a so-called "holy book." Why? One you can destroy a book and still live, but your mind is irreplaceable! Pastor Doug fashions his life in accordance with a book, which he claims is 100% Word of God. But not me... I don't see everything in the Bible realistic and applicable to daily life. That is where the dictates of my conscience comes in! That and all creation, is my real Bible!
Because the room was also filled with the holy angels of God and the fallen angels. I didn't catch that right away either. It means that Pastor Doug is aware of the Great Controversy being played out both seen and unseen.

It would be nice since you posted this video that you would answer some of my earlier questions. And since you're into "Thus says the Lord" (as I am) show me a "thus says the Lord" that women can't serve as elders. The 10th Commandment says that "thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife." Does that mean that people can covet their neighbor’s husband? Take your time and respond to my questions one at a time (the eariler ones too). Thanks.
