Ellen White says that David danced "in reverent joy before God" and that his dancing on that occasion "tended to the remembrance of God and exalted His holy name." PP 707. To compare his dancing here to having concubines is beyond ridiculous. I pray that God would help the presenter broaden his views so that he can be more effective.
Thank you Pastor Meyer for this whole series! I like the fact that he includes soundbites. I am a newly converted Seven Day Adventist..formerly attended a non-denominational church..raised Catholic. I have been around the party scene extensively and listened to all sorts of music. I can now forward these video links to unconverted people I know and they will definitely see the point that Pastor is trying to make clearly. It may not touch their hearts right away..but it still plants a seed.
An amazing video! I think giving the small snippets drives the point home. For instance I wouldn't have thought of techno music until he had played the clip. To each his own... :D
I agree 100 % of what this brother is saying but I do not think it's a good idea to show clips and sound bite. Most people know what that kind of music is like. In my own opinion it's spraying rat poison and say this is bad. And I do appreciate the warning disclaimer.
Ivor Myers is a sword swinging brother!
Highly informative sermon outlining how music has been manipulated by the enemy and transformed into a weapon to link us all to the world. You will discover what true Godly music sounds like as well as know how secular and even Christian music is deceiving millions. WARNING: These videos contain graphic music content. No cursing, but may not be suitable for young children.
“I am the light of the world..." When He spoke these words, Jesus was in the court of the temple specially connected with the services of the Feast of Tabernacles. . . . At evening when the lamps were lighted, the court was a scene of great rejoicing. Gray-haired men, the priests of the temple and the rulers of the people, united in the festive dances to the sound of instrumental music and the chants of the Levites." PP 707. There was dancing in the NT contrary to what he says.
