Ellen White says that David danced "in reverent joy before God" and that his dancing on that occasion "tended to the remembrance of God and exalted His holy name." PP 707. How does he come off comparing David's dancing to his having concubines then?
He says that "something (rhythm) that moves the flesh is not Spirit." Ellen White says that David danced (moved) "in his gladness keeping time to the measure (rhythm) of the song." PP 707. The Holy Spirit was behind the rhythm in the music that David was moving to. Wasn't He? If He was, how can you then say that any rhythm that moves the flesh is not Spirit? To condemn ALL movement of the "flesh" to ANY rhythm that does so is just not biblical.
He said in his presentation that there is NO musical instrument that is evil in and of itself. I agree. That includes drums. He included drums in a song earlier in his presentation and said that it was appropriate. I again agree. I too believe that they can be used appropriately.
