This is new to me. I agree with the topic discussed about fasting. The diet that Daniel and his friends was no different from their homeland, at least in principle. They were vegetarians, a point brought out by the Spirit of Prophecy. I believe they ate meat only on the Jewish holidays that required the consumption of roasted lamb - Passover, Thank Offerings, etc. It would be nice if this video was done with a more professional background and simple graphics. Maybe this will happen with growth in video production techniques. God bless you!
"The true fasting which should be recommended to all, is abstinence from every stimulating kind of food, and the proper use of wholesome simple food, which God has provided in abundance".--Letter 73, 1896. {MM 283.4}
Is the Daniel Fast Biblical?
Thank you so much for posting this video, it is a confirmation of my conviction that this fasting movement is unbiblical. I just completed a study of Daniel this morning so that I could help a friend who is constantly doing the "Daniel Fast". I feel that the emphasis on the fasts, such a minor part of the book, is sinful, and the only person who truly fasted was Darius when Daniel was thrown into the lions den. The fasting movement takes the attention away from the events, lessons and prophecies that are at the heart of the Book of Daniel. Please continue to post your views, it is so refreshing to know that there are other like minded Christians. Thank you again.
